Easy Low-Fat Grilled Veggie Wraps

Here is a delicious low-fat dish that is quick and easy to prepare. I have listed some veggies that you can use, however feel free to add or subtract what ever you like. I usually use what ever I have on hand. The pictured dish has all ingredients listed below. My wife found this frying pan with holes in it, perfect for cooking the veggies on the grill.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup sliced green pepper
1/2 cup fresh chopped mushrooms
1/2 cup sliced yellow squash
1/2 cup sliced zucchini
1/2 cup of fresh broccoli, broken into small pieces
1/2 cup sliced red onion
fresh basil leaves
ground black pepper
garlic

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Lightly coat frying pan with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Combine all ingredients in frying pan.
3. Cook over medium high heat until veggies are done.
4. Spoon veggies into low-carb wraps.
5. Serve and enjoy!

I use these low-carb wraps. They are soft and have a good flavor. As you can see below, they are low in fat, carbs, calories and have 6 grams of fiber!

    Hi John,
Thanks for sharing your healthy veggie wrap recipe with us. I really like to use onions for added flavor and they taste so good when they are cooked. A great choice for your wraps, very yummy! :-)

You’re welcome Robin! I love onions, raw or cooked. They do add great flavor. Red onions are my favorite.

What a great looking recipe. I can’t wait to try it. Going to look for the frying pan with holes in it. Did she get it in a special place??? And also look for those wraps. I love to use the wraps instead of bread.

I think I would love all this, but would want to add some soy sauce and tofu for extra flavor! And maybe some whole grain rice as well, along with some black or red kidney beans. Now we’re talkin’!

Hi Steve! I hear you, but in this particular recipe, which I make weekly, I am going for speed and low fat, carbs and calories. Additionally, soy sauce is EXTREMELY high in sodium. Another no, no!
