My son, who is now 16, is spending some time this summer with his dad. Last night I got into the photo albums and I gathers about 50 pictures of my son from birth to now and put them on a slide show and emailed them to my son to show his dad (Father’s Day). When you actually see the pictures come into view on the slide show, and you see your son aging, it is very sad to see how quickly they grow! Enjoy every minute, every talk, every hug, every I Love You, because one minute they are 2 years old, the next minute they are graduating high school, the next minute they are getting married…Thanks for letting me get that out, and thanks Sarah for a wonderful post! Oh children, god’s precious little gifts. I love all three of my own, but I often wonder if my parents felt the same way about me! Ha ha! Sometimes I was a bit of scamp!

Every day I look at my children and try to etch those images into my mind. I treasure every smile, laugh, yell, scream, sibling fight, and reciprocative tattle I am exposed to. I both look forward to and dread birthdays because I know that it brings them one day closer to spreading their wings and starting their own journeys. One day, I will hear all those sounds again from my grandchildren. =) ssgreylord a powerful name for a powerful writer and great friend.

Nice sentiment. Wishing your kids could stay the same age. Innocence is such a beautiful thing too bad the real world eventually interferes. My life as it was is a great blog as is this one.
