It seems like the extremely low inflation numbers are meant to keep the public from panicking, stop spending money and making things worse. This is the danger of having an economy based strictly on consumption, with little or no manufacturing.

Thanks for the comments. You are absolutely correct about the time and effort of the savings being worth it. We take a nice family vacation every summer, mostly paid for by all of our savings endeavors throughout the year. And our children know that all of our quirky savings ideas are going to fund another family adventure next summer. So, they feel like they are helping out when doing things to save. John, Thanks for the visit to my blog, because of your visit I got to see and read another site that thinks the same way I do. Yes, it takes a little time and common sense to do what we do but it’s worth the time and effort when you actually can see the savings and redirect the savings to be more beneficial for our family. It takes work to get savings like that, but it’s worth every minute of my time! After writing this article, I read that milk and eggs are up 24%+ in the past year! That’s crazy scary.
